WPS Course Program

In Grades 11 and 12, Willows Preparatory School students may choose the Course Program as an alternative to the full IBDP. This pathway includes 29 high school credits and offers additional flexibility around Global Language requirements and student choice courses.

Diploma Programme exams are optional for Course Program students, allowing for a more personalized route through the final two years. This program leads to a high school diploma that is well-recognized by colleges and universities, supporting students as they prepare for the next step in their academic journey.

IB Diploma Programme

In Grades 11 and 12, students pursue the IBDP through six subject areas and three core elements.

DP Core

  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK) challenges students to reflect on how knowledge is constructed across disciplines, encouraging critical thinking and open-minded discussion. It culminates in a 1,600-word essay and an oral presentation.
  • The Extended Essay (EE) offers the opportunity to conduct independent research on a topic of personal interest. Students craft a 4,000-word paper around a self-designed question of genuine significance, always guided by a supervisor.
  • Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) invites students to engage in meaningful experiences outside the classroom, fostering personal growth and a sense of responsibility to others. CAS brings the IB Learner Profile to life, nurturing empathy and a sense of global citizenship.

Subject Groups

  • Group 1: Language & Literature
  • Group 2: Language Acquisition
  • Group 3: Individuals & Societies
  • Group 4: Science
  • Group 5: Mathematics

Our learning experience

IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) MYP Personal Project

IB Diploma Programme (IBDP)

The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) supports students in becoming knowledgeable, reflective, and internationally minded young adults. Designed for the final two years of school, the programme offers a rigorous and balanced academic experience that encourages students to think independently, explore ideas in depth, and connect their learning across subjects.

Through IBDP's core elements and challenging curriculum, students strengthen essential skills in research, critical thinking, communication, and self-management.

MYP Personal Project

The Personal Project is the culminating experience of the MYP, completed over the course of a year. Students explore a topic that genuinely matters to them, then design and create a final product.

This experience gives students the opportunity to draw on the skills they have developed across the programme, especially self-management, research, and critical thinking, while demonstrating growing independence, initiative, and personal growth.

Ridhima

You will never feel left out here. The transition from middle to high school is almost seamless.

They push us to try new things so we can discover what we actually love and what we want to pursue. Being at Willow’s has helped me learn how to talk to people from different backgrounds and really understand perspectives beyond my own.

The combination of the IB framework and small class sizes is something you don’t find very often, and it has been transformative for our children.

What I’ve loved most is watching my kids learn how to use their confidence well. The environment here has helped them know when to speak, when to listen, and how to collaborate.
