Where confidence grows
What's happening
Through Willows Prep’s fully integrated IB framework - including the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning (ATLs) - students develop the values, skills, and habits they need to grow as confident, reflective, and globally minded learners. Supported by small class sizes, personalized attention, and a strong culture of inquiry, they build resilience, curiosity, empathy, and independence. As an International Baccalaureate school in Redmond, WPS delivers the (MYP in Grades 5-10 and the IBDP in Grades 11-12, empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. Guided by ISP's Learning.First™ approach, every experience is designed to help learners become the best version of themselves.
At Willows Prep, students explore, question, and collaborate through an IB education shaped by inquiry-based learning, social-emotional development, and ATL skills, growing into confident, globally minded learners.
Approaches to Learning (ATLs) help students develop the skills to “learn how to learn.” Through thinking, research, communication, collaboration, and self-management, learners engage with real-world challenges with curiosity and confidence. They strengthen critical and creative thinking, information literacy, effective communication, empathy, teamwork, and the ability to organize and reflect. ATLs support students in becoming independent, balanced, and globally minded learners.
Inquiry-based learning is central to the WPS experience and to the IB philosophy. Through interdisciplinary learning and international themes woven across subjects, students ask meaningful questions, think critically, and make connections across disciplines. This approach nurtures curiosity, reflection, and active engagement, helping learners build understanding and develop a lasting passion for learning.
Social-emotional learning is embedded in a caring, highly personalized environment where every student is seen and supported. Through reflection, strong relationships, and meaningful student support, learners build self-awareness and the confidence to navigate challenges. This approach helps students thrive academically, socially, and personally, preparing them to contribute with compassion and purpose in school and beyond.
At Willows Prep, students think critically, solve complex problems, and engage in rigorous IB learning, becoming culturally aware and globally minded in a rapidly changing world.
