Students follow a progressive theatre pathway from Grades 5 - 12, building confidence, stage presence and creative expression over time. In Grades 5 - 6, they begin with a broad introduction to theatre, exploring acting, storytelling, design, writing and the experience of performance as a whole. In Grades 7 - 8, students develop core acting skills through vocal and physical expression, script work, rehearsal practice and theatre history. By Grades 9 - 12, they deepen their craft through more advanced performance work, reflection, devised theatre and production-based experiences, with opportunities to perform in major school productions, student-led plays and the school’s Thespian program.
In Grades 5 - 6, beginners are introduced to band through foundational instrumental study, basic music theory and early ensemble playing. Students may begin on flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, or percussion, including snare drum and mallets. In Grades 7 - 8, they strengthen technique and confidence through progressively more advanced repertoire and theory in middle school band. In Grades 9 - 12, students refine performance standards further while also developing greater musical independence through composition and arrangement.
Students explore visual expression through a broad studio arts pathway that develops technical skill, observation and creative confidence. In Grades 5 - 6, they build foundations in the elements of art and principles of design through hands-on experimentation and creative exploration. In Grades 7 - 8, students broaden their practice across studio disciplines while strengthening technique and visual communication. By Grades 9 - 12, they can deepen their interests through more specialized art-making, developing both personal style and a stronger command of artistic process, critique and presentation.

In Grades 7 - 8, students begin to build practical design and production skills through foundational technical theatre learning. From Grades 8 -10, they can specialize further in areas such as costume and stage make-up, lighting and sound, and set and prop design, applying the design cycle to live productions. In Grades 11 -12, students can extend this design thinking further through advanced design-focused study grounded in real-world problem-solving, planning and evaluation.
In Grades 5 - 6, they are introduced to the design process through hands-on projects that combine physical materials and technology, developing curiosity, experimentation, and practical thinking.
