Where confidence grows
What's happening
Our Student Support Program ensures that every student has access to the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed. We offer a thoughtful, individualized approach, from dedicated elective courses and one-to-one weekly check-ins, to after-school academic support, social skills groups, and targeted services for language-based learning differences.
In close partnership with families, teachers, and specialists, we create a strong, consistent network around every student - a hallmark of the best private schools in Redmond - so that each learner is empowered to grow academically, socially, and personally.
Ongoing advocacy
Our Student Support Program builds a strong network of advocacy through close collaboration with families, faculty, and specialists. The instructors help coordinate accommodations, monitor progress, and keep support connected across the school experience.
Personalized attention
A 1:4 teacher-to-student ratio in our elective courses allows for meaningful relationships, highly individualized guidance, and close, responsive support throughout each student's academic journey.
Inclusive learning
Every student is recognized as a unique learner with individual strengths, needs, and potential. Within a rigorous academic environment, we provide tailored support and built-in differentiation that help diverse learners fully engage in school life and grow academically, and personally.
The Student Support Program offers two elective courses designed to strengthen students’ independence, organization, and confidence as learners. Students may enroll in one course in place of a regular elective for either a semester or a full academic year. Through consistent routines, including planning conferences and weekly student-written progress updates, learners build essential skills in time management and academic responsibility.
Our Weekly 1:1 Check-Ins provide personalized executive functioning and academic coaching during the school day, giving students regular space to reflect, plan, and move forward with confidence. In each session, students review grades, track assignments, prioritize tasks, and recognize progress. These consistent conversations help students strengthen communication and the planning habits that support greater independence and long-term success.
Social Lunch Circle creates a supportive, structured setting where students can build the skills that help them connect positively and confidently with others. Through guided activities and discussion, students practice starting conversations, listening actively, understanding different perspectives, and navigating peer dynamics. Offered in small-group sessions during lunch and recess, Social Lunch Circle helps students strengthen empathy, self-awareness, and healthy relationship skills in everyday school life.
Our After-School Learning Support program offers a calm, structured environment where students can strengthen organization, study habits, and academic confidence beyond the school day. With guided support in assignment tracking, planner and calendar use, homework completion, and task management, students develop practical strategies to stay organized, manage their time effectively, and approach their responsibilities with increasing independence.
For students with language-based learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and auditory processing challenges, Willows Prep offers one-to-one, on-site speech and language therapy during the school day. Working with a licensed speech-language pathologist, students receive targeted support in oral and written language through a structured, individualized approach.

One of the ways our community is so special is our ability to be responsive to who our students are as learners:
academically, socially, and emotionally. We get to know each student deeply and design the supports they need to access their learning. It's personalized, intentional, and empowering.

The IB doesn’t just focus on what to teach. It helps teachers think deeply about how to teach
We see our students. We identify their strengths, we identify their areas for growth, and we intentionally support both.
Mary Ewart
Director of Learning
We believe in meeting students where they are, recognizing that every child has their own unique strengths.
Our approach is rooted in understanding how each student learns best. By working collaboratively across disciplines, our team ensures each student receives the personalized support they need to thrive at school and build confidence as learners.
